OCALA, FL. (352today) – Meet Lucy, an ultra-sweet gentle pup who patiently waits for her forever family at Marion County Animal Services.

Lucy is a 6-year-old, 96-pound adult who is full of life and love. Although her breed is unknown, the MCAS staff believes she can be a Dutch Shepherd mix. She came to Marion County Animal Services after being confiscated by her owner in March. Since then, she has blossomed and become one of the helper dogs in play groups at the shelter.

Lucy loves to play and has a push-and-pull play style. She is also moderately treat-motivated and knows some commands, including sit and lie down. One of Lucy’s favorite activities is swimming.
