OCALA, FL. (352today.com) – The Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated in preserving and advocating and caring for the approximately 18 million acres of connected undeveloped Florida lands that run from the Everglades to the Georgia and Alabama state lines, is hosting an informative and entertaining event in conjunction with Marion County’s Horse Farms Forever at On Top of the World’s Circle Square Cultural Center in Ocala on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Corridor Connect+ LIVE aims to bring together conservation and preservation advocates, local equine and agribusiness owners, landowners and lovers of Florida nature “to connect learn, and help shape the future of Florida’s equestrian and natural landscapes.” It’s an in-person extension of the Corridor Connect online project, which helps keeps various parties–and the public–networked and up to date on the Florida Wildlife Corridor.

The event is a two-parter. The Landowner Workshops and Expo, from 1-4:45 p.m., is free and open to the public. Attendees can learn more about the Florida Wildlife Corridor and the 352’s prime position within it, participate in workshops, and connect with a wealth of useful resources.

Some of the organizations represented at the Expo include:

  • Horse Farms Forever
  • Conservation Florida
  • Tall Timbers
  • Marion County Soil and Water Division
  • UF Center for Landscape Conservation Planning
  • UF IFAS
  • Trust for Public Land
  • Ducks Unlimited
  • Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
  • Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
  • Southwest Florida Water Management District
  • USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

The second part of Corridor Connect+ LIVE is a ticketed evening event featuring National Geographic Explorer and “Unbranded” filmmaker Ben Masters as the keynote speaker.

“The evening program will include a screening of ‘Saving the Florida Wildlife Corridor,’ followed by a conversation with local landowners and conservation teams exploring the future of Marion County’s working landscapes before Masters takes the stage for the keynote presentation,” read an announcement.

The film screening, panel discussion and Masters’s presentation begin at 4:45 p.m. and shouldn’t run past 8 p.m. Tickets for the evening event are still available online here for $25, but they’re going fast.

Circle Square Cultural Center is located at 8395 SW 80th St., Ocala.
