WILLISTON, FL (352today.com) – Watermelon season is in full swing in North Central Florida, and one of the region’s sweetest traditions is returning to downtown Williston this weekend.

The 2026 Williston Watermelon Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at Heritage Park, located at 116 N Main St. in downtown Williston. The free community event will feature more than 100 vendors, food trucks, live music, family activities and, of course, free watermelon for attendees. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public.

Organizers say the festival was created to celebrate the area’s agricultural roots and recognize the importance of watermelon farming in Levy County and throughout North Central Florida. The event has continued to grow since its inception, drawing residents and visitors from across the region.

In addition to watermelon-themed festivities, attendees can browse a wide variety of local vendors, shop handcrafted goods, enjoy food from numerous food trucks and listen to live entertainment throughout the day. A children’s area will also offer activities for younger guests.

Festival organizers encourage visitors to arrive early, bring comfortable walking shoes and prepare for a day of food, music, shopping and community celebration.
