ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Back in May, we covered Major League Fishing’s 2026 Kubota Heavy Hitters Pro Bass Tour contest on Orange Lake, located just up the road in Alachua County.
Now, we’ve gotten word that coverage of the tournament will kick off the eighth season of ‘MLF Pro Bass Tour” on Discovery (formerly The Discovery Channel, back when there were actual channels). If you’re a passionate bass angler who’s spent time on one of the region’s best largemouth bass lakes, this is your chance to point at the TV and shout, “I’ve fished that shoreline!”
Video from the tournament will span six episodes.

- July 4 – Qualifying Round Group A, Day 1
- July 11 – Qualifying Round Group B, Day 1
- July 18 – Qualifying Round Group A, Day 2
- July 25 – Qualifying Round Group B, Day 2
- Aug. 8 – Knockout Round
- Aug. 15 – Championship Round
All episodes are set to initially air on Discovery at 7 a.m. EST, but we assume they’ll be on demand after that on Discovery+, the network’s streaming service currently partially bundled with HBO MAX and available in full as its own subscription service.
