OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Singer-songwriter Michael Allman is bringing both deeply rooted Southern rock tradition and exciting new sounds to the Ocala Civic Theatre.

Yes, he’s the son of Allman Brothers co-founder Gregg Allman. Yes, he’ll be doing some of the Allman Brothers classics when he hits the stage at Ocala Civic Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026. (And yes, he does look and sound more than a little like his father.)

But he’s also a gifted writer and performer in his own right. The Florida native (he was born in Daytona Beach) has released a couple of albums’ worth of soulful blues-rock straight out of the cypress hammocks over the years, rife with stories, riffs and rhythm. His original material fits right into the Southern rock legacy that is his birthright, but showcases a master storyteller for whom the roots are in the blood, but the tales are in the experience.

Fans should expect a marathon performance ushering in the last month of summer–the junior Allman is known for playing shows that often exceed three hours.

Tickets for this very special performance are available online as well as at the Civic Theatre’s box office. General admission tix are available for $40, and there’s a VIP option that includes preferred seating and a bit of commemorative swag for $65.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Ocala Civic Theatre is located at 4337 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala.
