MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is asking for your help locating a man who they say tried to steal over $900 worth of merchandise at a local Walmart.

The sheriff’s office shared in a Facebook post that on Oct. 28, the man pictured went “shopping” at the Walmart located at 17961 S U.S. Highway 441. They say he filled his cart with multiple items including a Bose speaker, a Shark vacuum, and other items and then tried to leave the store without paying.

Deputies say when the Loss Prevention Officer tried to confront him, he fled from the store and left the cart behind.

They are asking anyone with any information regarding his identity to contact them at 352-732-9111.
