OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Last month, we shared the very, uh, “cool” news that a new Dairy Queen restaurant would be opening in Ocala at 4001 NW Blitchton Road.

At the time, the announced opening date was August 24, 2026. Shortly thereafter, that date was rescinded, and we were promised a new opening date as soon as it become available.

Well, that time is now—or rather, almost now, because the new DQ will be having its grand opening this Monday, September 21.

All your favorite, nostalgically delicious old-school fast-food gems will be served, from DQ’s Stackburgers and chicken strip baskets to soft-serve cones and, of course, Blizzards.

“DQ restaurants bring joy to the communities they serve,” said Pradip Patel, DQ franchise owner, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to opening our doors in Ocala and becoming a place where the local community can gather to celebrate life’s little and big moments.”

As previously noted, this will be the 86-year-old brand’s second currently operating restaurant in Ocala, with the other located at 5240 E. Silver Springs Blvd, #40 in Silver Springs.

According to the announcement, the new ‘Q will open its doors at 10 a.m. on Monday. The franchise’s regular hours are 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 10 a.m.-midnight Friday-Sunday.
