MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 29-year-old Summerfield woman missing since the early morning hours of last Friday has been located and is safe, according to an update from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
An alert issued by the MCSO on the evening of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, reported that they responded to a call for assistance by Amber Elouise Wiggins at around 4 a.m. the previous Friday. Upon arriving at the woman’s stated location, deputies were informed that she had already left on foot and was headed toward the Happy Dave’s gas station located at 16644 U.S. HWY 441 South.
At 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, the MCSO’s Public Information Office issued a brief update announcing that Ms. Wiggins had been located and is safe.
No further information was readily available regarding the circumstances surrounding Ms. Wiggins’s call to authorities, or where she was eventually found.
