OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Crispy Cones is bringing its cones and reputation to Ocala, sharing a unique style of cone from which to enjoy the nearly year-round treat here in the 352 that is ice cream. The new location will be set in the Canopy Oaks Shopping Plaza at 8075 SW State Rd. 200, Unit 107, Ocala.
Crispy Cones got its name from a dessert with a similar title, Crispý Cone, which consists of a dough cone grilled rotisserie-style, then covered in cinnamon and sugar. Initially finding success on Shark Tank, Crispy Cones now has 34 locations across 17 states. Six of those installments are established in Florida with one location making its way to Kissimmee and another landing soon in the Canopy Oaks Shopping Plaza in Ocala.
Their menu features three types of cones including the crispy cone with a cream spread, ice cream, topping and a sauce drizzle. The other two cones do not come with ice cream, however; the hot fruit cone comes with a choice of spread, fresh fruit or apple pie filling, whipped cream and a choice of drizzle. The final cone is the pastry cone that comes with a cream spread.
They’re known for their unique take on the vanilla cone, but they cater to flavors, too. The flavors include the Cookie Á La Mode with a cookie butter drizzle, cookie dough, Oreo pieces and cookie butter spread and the Berry Cheesecake with raspberry drizzle, strawberries, cheesecake bites and strawberry jam. The Cocoa Berry specialty ice cream features chocolate ice cream with Nutella drizzle, strawberries and Nutella spread and the Brownie Royale with Nutella drizzle Kit Kat pieces, brownie pieces and Nutella spread.
Guests can customize ice cream with cones, spread, ice cream, drizzle and toppings. Cones include the traditional cinnamon and sugar along with a weekly special. Spreads include Nutella, peanut butter, cookie butter and strawberry jam. Ice cream include vanilla, chocolate and a vanilla and chocolate swirl along with weekly specialties. Drizzles include Nutella, strawberry, caramel and cookie butter. Toppings include cookie dough, Oreos, graham crackers, strawberries, Kit Kats, health bars, almonds, Biscoff cookies, peanut butter cups, cheesecake bites and brownies.
Crispy Cones will be a starting point for trying out a new way to enjoy ice cream cones. The hours of operations are not posted yet; however, the new location is set to open in September with the storefront on display in the shopping plaza.
