MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews responded to an accident at the intersection of Highway 200 and SW 80th St. around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
There they found a barely recognizable Corvette and a driver seriously injured.

MCFR says they received multiple calls to 911 reporting that the white Corvette went off the road, clipped a power pole and broke the car apart.
From the photos MCFR took at the scene, the severity of the wreck is clear. Pieces of the car are strewn across several yards.
Crews had to close Highway 200 because the power lines were hanging very low.
Crews transported the driver to a hospital. At this time, we don’t know the identity nor current condition of the driver.
