The University of Florida has proposed a month-to-month agreement with the city for bus transportation for students, staff and faculty. The Gainesville mayor says that would slash about $6.8 million from the bus budget and threaten other funding.
The City of Gainesville says it would have to cut 11 bus routes, including all routes serving UF under a proposal from the university to slash its RTS funding.
