City of Gainesville proposes ‘entertainment district’ as a compromise to ending citywide open container ordinance

Alachua County eliminating school bus rides for roughly 1200 students effective January 8

Under the new plan, students who live within two miles of their school will have to walk to school or parents will need to provide transportation. Parents can appeal if your child’s walk would be deemed “hazardous.”
