DUNNELLON, FL (352today.com) – Three people have been transported to the hospital, one as a trauma alert, following a Thursday morning crash involving a sedan and a tractor-trailer.
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) was dispatched to the intersection of SW Oleander Place & SW Marine Boulevard at 7:56 a.m. in response to the crash.
9-1-1 callers informed dispatch that the occupants of the sedan were trapped inside.



Fire rescue crews arrived on the scene to find the accident, which involved three passengers and confirmed entrapment.
Crews established command and began extrication of the heavily entrapped patient.
Additional MCFR crews arrived to help complete the four-minute-long extrication.
All three patients were transported to a local trauma hospital, with one of them designated as a trauma alert.
FHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
