OCALA, FL (352today.com) – When a major music festival comes to town, the impact can extend well beyond the stage.
This August, Rock The Country will bring two days of country music to the Florida Horse Park in Ocala, with Brooks N’ Dunn, Blake Shelton, Lauren Alaina, Shenandoah, Mark Chesnutt and others scheduled to perform Aug. 28-29.
For local law firm Meldon Law, the event also presents an opportunity to do something it has been doing in North Central Florida for decades: give people another reason to come together.
The firm is currently offering a chance to win a VIP Rock The Country experience for two, including tickets to the Saturday, Aug. 29, show, a two-night stay at Hilton Ocala, dinner Friday night at a Brazilian steakhouse, transportation to and from the concert through a $100 Uber gift card, and a $250 gift card for festival merchandise. The winner is scheduled to be announced Aug. 14 through an official Meldon Law email. Entrants must be 18 or older.

It is the sort of promotion that fits naturally into a community where music, sports, festivals and other shared experiences have become an important part of the local calendar.
Meldon Law has roots in Gainesville dating back more than five decades, and today maintains offices in Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City and other Florida communities. The firm describes community involvement as part of its business from the beginning, supporting local organizations, youth, veterans and other causes through its Meldon Law Cares efforts.
That involvement has also extended into the cultural and civic conversations taking place around North Central Florida.
Through its Law Talk Live radio program and Meldon Law & Friends podcast, the firm has spent years talking with community leaders, business owners, advocates and other local voices about the people and issues shaping the region.
The Rock The Country contest takes a somewhat lighter approach to that same idea: sometimes supporting a community simply means helping people enjoy being part of it.
And there should be plenty to enjoy when the festival arrives at the Florida Horse Park.
The 2026 Rock The Country tour is built around festivals in smaller communities, with organizers describing the events as celebrations of community, tradition and music. Ocala is one of the tour stops, giving local residents the opportunity to see nationally known performers without leaving the area.
For those who enter the Meldon Law contest, the potential prize turns the weekend into something more than a pair of concert tickets. The winner and a guest would have a place to stay, transportation, dinner and spending money for the festival, along with VIP access to Saturday’s performances.
For a law firm that has made community involvement part of its identity, it is a fitting way to participate in an event that will bring visitors and residents together in the same place.
Whether or not someone walks away with the VIP weekend, Rock The Country is another reminder of the role local businesses can play in the places they call home—not just through their day-to-day work, but by helping support the events, experiences and traditions that give a community its character.
And for two lucky people, this particular community connection could come with a pretty good view of the stage.
The Meldon Law Rock the Country VIP giveaway is open to all entrants 18 & over until May 5, 2026. Meldon Law owns and is solely responsible for all aspects of the contest. Enter now!
