OCALA, FL (352today.com) – If your New Year’s resolution includes being more active, adopting a dog could be the buddy who keeps you accountable and helps you meet your fitness goals. An energetic animal needs lots of exercise and that could be the motivation to get you off the couch and on your feet.

There are plenty of dogs available for adoption through the Marion County Animal Services (MCAS). Choose the one that best matches your pace and tempo.

MCAS says they’re giving you the motivation to get going… adoption fees are waived during the Home for the Pawlidays promotion.

Check out three friendly faces below. Want to see more? Just in time to commit to that resolution, MCAS is holding a dog adoption day at Ocala Mall on Saturday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TAKE ME HOME THIS WEEK – DECEMBER 27, 2023

Cali’s smile is contagious. She has the kind of face that would be the perfect “Welcome Home,” greeting after a hard day at work. This high energy three-year-old girl is looking for an active family whose ideal dog is always along for the fun. Courtesy: MCAS
Five-year-old Sylvester is looking forward to saying goodbye to 2023. His owner recently passed away, and their family put him outside to live. Although he managed, he’d much rather snuggle with you inside and share the holiday spirit! Courtesy: MCAS
