ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – As Hurricane Milton veers its ugly head towards Florida’s Gulf Coast, Alachua County has opened roof tarp distribution locations that could prove essential to combat the massive amounts of rainfall.
There are three tarp distribution locations open around the county. Their locations and hours are:
- Leveda Brown Transfer Station, 5115 NE 63rd Ave, Gainesville
- Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Alachua County Rural Collection Center in Archer, 19401 Southwest Archer Road, Archer
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. every day until supplies run out
- Alachua County Agriculture & Equestrian Center, 23100 West Newberry Road, Newberry –
- October 7: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. or until supplies last. The county says to stay in your vehicle and pop the trunk. Staff will load your vehicle with 2 tarps.
All locations will be providing tarps while supplies last.
