OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Appleton Museum of Art invites you to celebrate the season at its annual Holiday Community Day on Saturday, Dec. 7, as part of its Free First Saturday program.
Enjoy a day of festive fun with free admission, family-friendly activities, and a chance to experience the museum’s beloved holiday exhibition.

Sponsored by Dr. Paul and Joyce Urban, and CAMPUS USA Credit Union, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, located at 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala and offers something for everyone.
Visitors can explore “A Dickens Christmas: The Urban Family’s Holiday Exhibition,” which features stunning holiday displays inspired by the Victorian era, as well as other special exhibitions throughout the museum.

Children and families can enjoy:
- Festive Crafts: Create holiday-themed art in the Artspace from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus: Snap a free photo with the Clauses courtesy of Sensational Selfies, with one print and a digital image included. Available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Face Painting: Add some sparkle to your holiday look with free face painting by Tonya, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A variety of food trucks will be onsite throughout the day, including The Donut Express, Nan & Tam Bun on the Run, Dancing Empanadas, Poppy’s Dogs, and Little Red’s Chicken & BBQ, providing delicious options for purchase.
