OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Could you be the next face that represents Ocala/Marion County?

The Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau (OMCVCB) is looking for residents to be part of its future advertising and marketing campaigns. The goal is to highlight Ocala/Marion County as a tourism and vacation destination.

The Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau says no previous experience is necessary to participate in the casting call.

The bureau is hosting an open casting call on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its offices on 109 W. Silver Springs Blvd., in Ocala.

No previous experience is necessary.

While Ocala is known as the “Horse Capital of the World,” this campaign seeks to branch out. OMCVCB is looking to showcase the variety of experiences, activities and adventures available in the area and those interested in participating should be open to activities to like boating, hiking, golfing, kayaking, mountain biking, off-roading, or zip lining. For those less adventurous, eating is also listed as a possible activity for casting.

This can be a family affair but be forewarned, the entire family may not be selected. A release from OMCVCB says it is “seeking people to represent the campaign’s target audiences, including families, singles, and couples of all ages.” It goes on to say because the “project is committed to inclusive casting,” families and couples may be split up to meet needs.

When arriving for the casting call, OMCVCB will provide you with a temporary parking pass for their lot. If the parking lot is full, they say there is additional parking in the courthouse parking garage.

Interested residents should fill out a casting call survey, here.
