OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Artify Ocala, the four-year-old nonprofit dedicated to nurturing local creatives and sharing their work and energy with the community, will soon have its own brick-and-mortar space, and is inviting the public to take a sneak peek during a special open house.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, the organization is hosting a walkthrough of the work-in-progress space, dubbed Marion County Maker Collective, at 3650 NE 25th St. from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Visitors will see what Artify Ocala envisions as not only a home base for its popular Marion Maker Meetup events (traditionally held every other month), but also a hub for creators and artists of all stripes, with equipment, classes, programming and more.

“We’ve seen so much excitement and passion from our local makers that we knew we needed to create something bigger,” said Darian Mosley, Artify Ocala president, in an announcement. “This new space will give people the tools and environments to learn, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life.”

Marion County Maker Collective is scheduled for a soft opening in January of next year.
