BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Get ready to party, Belleview-style! The City of Belleview is marking 140 years of community pride with a big family celebration at Lake Lillian on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – and everyone’s invited.
The free event promises a day packed with fun for all ages, featuring music, food trucks, children’s activities, local artisans, and a peek into Belleview’s rich history. Little ones will love face painting by Chippy Creative Services, cookie decorating with The Church on the Hill, inflatables, a petting zoo, and hands-on adventures with Snapology.
Adults and kids alike can groove to DJ entertainment and explore a special historical exhibit showcasing Belleview’s growth over the past 140 years. One of the day’s highlights will be the Official Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony and the inaugural Belleview Time Capsule Ceremony, where visitors can help create a piece of history to be reopened in 2060.

“This milestone is not just a celebration of our city’s founding, but of the people, values, and resilience that have carried Belleview through nearly a century and a half,” said Mayor Christine Dobkowski.
The food lineup features local favorites like Hurt’s BBQ, Fat Tiki, Green Pea Coffee Co., Royal Hibachi, Kona Ice, and more. Guests can also enjoy free kettle corn, cotton candy, and mini-bundt cakes while supplies last.
“Planning Belleview’s 140th birthday celebration has been a labor of love, and we’re thrilled to present a day that truly reflects the spirit and pride of this community,” said Robert Vass, Events and Promotions Manager.
With more than 50 vendors and a car show benefiting the United Way of Marion County, this milestone birthday promises unforgettable family memories – and plenty of sweet treats.
