BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – As communities across the country prepare or continue to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the City of Belleview is inviting residents and visitors to take part in a month of events celebrating community, civic engagement and patriotism.
The centerpiece of the month’s activities will be Belleview’s America250 Fireworks Celebration on Saturday, July 4, at the Belleview Sports Complex, located at 6501 SE 107th St. The free event is being held in honor of America’s 250th anniversary and will feature food trucks, inflatable attractions, face painting and a fireworks display expected to begin at approximately 9 p.m.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. and festivities will continue throughout the evening. Because of anticipated attendance, parking at the Belleview Sports Complex will be limited. Additional free parking will be available at Lake Lillian, located alongside Robinson Road in Belleview, and Belleview City Hall, located at 5343 SE Abshier Blvd., with complimentary shuttle service provided between the parking locations and the event venue. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
While the Independence Day celebration serves as the highlight of the month, Belleview officials have planned several additional events designed to bring residents together and strengthen community connections.
Families can enjoy the Patriotic Pizza Party and Story Time with the Mayor on Tuesday, July 7, at 5 p.m. at the Belleview Community Center, located at 5615 SE 110th Pl. The free event allows children to hear a story read by Mayor Christine Dobkowski while promoting literacy and imagination in a welcoming environment.
Residents are also encouraged to participate in local government by attending upcoming City Commission meetings at 6 p.m. on July 7 and July 21 in the Commission Chambers at Belleview City Hall. The meetings provide opportunities to hear updates on city projects, learn about ongoing initiatives and participate in discussions affecting the future of the community.
This month concludes with the return of Friday Foodies Fest on Friday, July 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lake Lillian. The monthly gathering features a variety of food trucks and offers residents and visitors a chance to enjoy an evening outdoors while supporting local businesses.
