BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview is introducing an exciting new program series, “Crafting Connection: Building Community Through Creativity,” designed to bring residents together through hands-on crafting. The inaugural session will take place on Thursday, March 20, at the Belleview Community Center, with two available sessions: 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Partnering with Rigmaiden Creations, the workshop will offer participants the chance to create two fabric bows, choosing from over 30 unique fabric options, and craft a stylish faux leather bow using a die-cut machine. The event is open to all skill levels, making it a great opportunity for beginners and experienced crafters alike.

The cost to participate is $6 per person, and early registration is encouraged due to limited space. Those interested can sign up online.

More Than Just Crafting

The goal of the “Crafting Connection” series is not just about creating handmade projects—it’s about fostering relationships and strengthening the community.

“We are always looking for ways to bring the community together, and ‘Crafting Connection’ is a wonderful opportunity for people to connect, learn something new, and simply enjoy each other’s company,” said Robert Vass, Events & Promotions Manager for the City of Belleview. “This program gives residents a chance to step away from the hustle of everyday life, sit down with others, and create something with their hands. It’s not just about crafting—it’s about conversation, laughter, and community.”

Ceaira Rigmaiden, owner of Rigmaiden Creations, is eager to bring her passion for crafting to Belleview.

“I truly believe that crafting is more than just making something—it’s an experience that allows people to express themselves, de-stress, and connect with others,” Rigmaiden said. “At this event, we’re not only going to teach people how to work with fabric and faux leather, but we’re also going to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, inspired, and empowered to explore their creativity.”

A Growing Creative Series

“Crafting Connection” marks the beginning of an ongoing series that will introduce Belleview residents to various crafting techniques and projects. Future sessions will offer opportunities to learn new skills and explore different artistic mediums.
