WILDWOOD, FL (352today.com) – A tragic accident happened Thursday morning when a tree fell onto a moving vehicle in Wildwood, resulting in the death of the driver.
According to the Wildwood Police Department, at approximately 10:09 a.m. on July 17, a vehicle traveling southbound on Marsh Bend Trail was struck by a naturally falling tree. The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The intersection of Marsh Bend Trail and McNeill Drive remains closed as officers continue their investigation. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use Bexley Trail as a detour.
