NORTH CENTRAL FLORIDA (352today.com) – The forecast for rain across North Central Florida this weekend is prompting some community event organizers to cancel their events. Some are postponing and rescheduling. Others are canceling until the same time next year.
Here’s a list of the events we know have been canceled so far:
- Brown’s Strawberry Festival – Postponed until next weekend Feb. 24-25
- Citrus County Kids Fishing Clinic – Rescheduled for Saturday, March 16
- Marion County Tax Collector Car Show – Will be rescheduled, no date set yet
- Silver River Knap-In and Prehistoric Arts Festival – Will return Feb. 15-16, 2025
- Amber Brooke Farms Strawberry Festival – Postponed until next weekend Feb. 24-25 and Mar. 2-3.
- Final Cup Practice for the Daytona 500 – Canceled.

One of the main outdoor events this weekend is the Georgefest in Eustis. Organizers tell us they will make a decision about the Saturday concert around mid-day on Saturday.
