OCALA, FL (352today.com) – This week, Marion County Animal Services (MCAS) is recognizing National Animal Control Officer (ACO) Appreciation Week.

MCAS says the dedicated officers spend their days advocating and caring for the voiceless animals in the community.

Currently, there are over 180 adoptable animals at the Marion County shelter waiting for a loving home. Many rescued by the ACOs.

Ready to make one of those animals your new best friend? Stop by the Big Splash! Dock Diving & Dog Adoption Event this Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dogs Playing for Life Canine Center. The event will feature dock diving tryouts, vendors, food trucks, and a chance to meet some of MCAS’s adoptable pets.

These pets of the week are guaranteed to make a big splash in your life.
