SANFORD, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida (CF) Patriots softball team hit the road Wednesday to face Seminole State College in a Citrus Conference doubleheader. After dropping the opener 11-3, the Patriots bounced back in dramatic fashion, edging the Raiders 12-11 in game two.
In game one, CF grabbed a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a two-run double by Gabrielle Rascher, but Seminole answered with eight runs in the bottom of the first. Hailey Pyle was tagged for the loss after recording just two outs. Amber Daugherty added a solo homer—her second of the season—in the fourth.
