OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery invites the community to experience the rich narratives of Southern life through the “Michael Mallard: Recent Works” exhibition, on display from Feb. 17 to March 12, 2025.
Mallard’s vibrant still life pieces weave together everyday objects and symbolic imagery to explore themes of identity, place, and experience. His work invites viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexity of the American Southeast, offering a thoughtful examination of its rhythms and stories.

An accomplished artist and educator, Mallard serves as an associate professor of visual arts at Albany State University in Georgia, where he actively mentors aspiring artists. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.
The exhibition will conclude with a public closing reception on Wednesday, March 12 at 12:30 p.m., providing an opportunity to meet the artist and engage with his work.
