OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Are you an avid scrapbooker or love to spend your free time indulging in crafts? A new center in Ocala will allow you to explore all of your creative abilities.
The Chelsea Art Center opened its doors on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
The center held its ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m., hosted by the Ocala Chamber and Economic Partnership (CEP) team. The building has plenty of room for you to dive into your favorite crafts with 4,705 square feet of space. It is located at 3305 E Silver Springs Blvd.
The center celebrated summer and its grand opening with an acrylic painting demonstration by artist Vicki Carol.
The art center, described as a place for all ‘makers,’ allows people of any age to learn and experience visual arts in several unique ways. It offers many different visual arts and craft classes. If you are interested in taking any of their classes, you can register here.

It also offers a space for group meetings to accommodate whatever your creative interests might be.
This Saturday, the center is holding its “Scrapbooking Saturday” event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to that, Ocala Art Group’s next book club discussion takes place on Sept. 5 at noon. You can check out the full calendar of events here.
