OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Commission joined Coca-Cola for the grand opening of Coca-Cola’s Ocala Sales & Distribution Center today, marking a significant addition to the local business community.
During the opening ceremony, Coca-Cola emphasized its commitment to supporting Marion County’s community initiatives and maintaining a cleaner, litter-free environment.
As part of its commitment, Coca-Cola presented a $2,500 donation to Marion County’s “No Horsin’ Around” litter campaign, aimed at reducing waste and preserving local parks and public areas. This initiative aligns with Marion County’s ongoing efforts to protect and beautify its public spaces for residents and visitors alike.
Additionally, Coca-Cola announced it would fully fund a new computer lab for the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County, providing local youth with valuable resources for education and skill development. This lab aims to bridge digital access gaps for young residents, helping them gain essential computer skills.
Coke Florida’s Ocala Territory now boasts a 27,000-square-foot distribution center located off Silver Springs Blvd. and NW 52nd Ave. capable of delivering over 4 million cases of product annually to the five-county region of Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter.
