OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida Patriots took the first game of the three-game Citrus Conference series against St. Petersburg College in dramatic fashion. Victor Martinez’s bottom of the ninth leadoff home run gave CF the 8-7 walk-off victory. It was Martinez’s sixth HR of the season. Ignacio Salaverria connected on his first home run of the season earlier in the game. A three-run shot to right field. Balint Piros contributed three hits and two RBI.
The final two game of the series shifted to Jack Russell Memorial Stadium in Clearwater on Friday and moved up a day due to impending weather. CF took advantage of five Titans errors to win 8-4. Jose Correa collected three hits while Martinez added three RBI. Richard Bello (5-1) earned the win in relief tossing 3.1 innings allowing only one hit, no runs with six strikeouts.

The final game of the series saw the Pats pound out ten runs on ten hits to win 10-0 in six innings. Brett House (5) and Bruno Schafer (3) both hit home runs with Piros adding three RBI. Jay Jung (2-3) threw a complete game shutout with six innings pitched allowing only two hits, no runs, with five strikeouts.
The sweep moves the Patriots into sole possession of second place in the conference with an 11-4 record. CF is 18-12 over-all and has won 10 of their last 11 games.
CF will play on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at home at 3:00 PM vs. the defending NJCAA Division 2 National Champions, Pasco-Hernando State College.
