OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida’s (CF) award-winning nursing program is about to get bigger with construction of a new nursing center. CF will break ground for the center on Thursday, Sept. 21.

The new center will be built at CF’s Ocala campus located at 3001 SW College Road.

The $20 million project is set to start offering classes in January of 2025.

“In spring 2023, CF received a $6.7 million Linking Industry to Nursing Education grant from the Florida Legislature to expand its nursing program,” said college officials in a release. They also received funding from the Marion County Hospital District and Marion County Commission.

CF’s associate degree nursing program was named the 2023 Best RN Program in Florida by registerednursing.org.
