OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Two well-known Ocala institutions are teaming up again this year to offer immersive summer theatre camp experiences for aspiring young performers. This is the third year Community Stages, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching the lives of performers and fans alike, has partnered with Cornerstone School to add theatre to the school’s already impressive list of summer camp programming.

June’s Junior Drama Camp, for first through third graders, is already full, but there are still openings available for Senior Drama Camp (fourth through 12th grade), as well as July’s Junior and Senior Performance Camps.

June Senior Drama Camp

  • Runs June 8-12, 15-19, and 22-26, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Campers dive into timeless and popular stories, plays and movies through acting, music, movement, storytelling, design and hands-on theatrical creation
  • Cost is $230 per week

July Junior and Senior Performance Camps

  • Both run July 6-25, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (Senior) and noon-4 p.m. (Junior)
  • An intensive “learn while doing” trip through the production process
  • Culminates in Senior campers performing “Moana Jr.” at the College of Central Florida’s Dassance Fine Arts Center
  • Cost is $600 for Senior camp/$300 for Junior camp
