WILLISTON, FL (352today.com) – Construction has begun on a new Wawa convenience store and gas station planned off U.S. 27 near McDonald’s in Williston.
The project marks the first visible movement on the long-discussed development, which had circulated in community conversations in recent years without clear updates on a timeline.
Wawa, a Pennsylvania-based chain that has expanded rapidly across Florida, typically builds along high-traffic corridors similar to the U.S. 27 site. The Williston store is expected to include fuel pumps and the company’s made-to-order food and beverage offerings.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
