The impact of this mix-up is magnified by the approaching Tropical Storm Idalia when drivers are advised to fuel up ahead of the storm.
Impacted stations have been asked to stop selling gas until the tanks can be cleaned and fuel replaced. The governor’s office has waived restrictions on truck drivers to help expedite the fuel replacement.
