MARION COUNTY, FL (352Today.com) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested a felon convicted of stabbing a six-year-old boy in Kentucky on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025 after he was found living in the Marion Oaks community.

The felon, 42-year-old Ronald Exantus, was convicted of stabbing Logan Tipton to death in 2015, and released on parole after serving less than half of his 20-year sentence. On Thursday, the MSCO Intelligence Unit determined that Exantus had relocated to the Marion County area and failed to register as a felon with the MCSO, as mandated by the conditions of his parole. It was also determined that the convicted killer had obtained a Florida drivers license on Oct. 3, 2025, with an address within close proximity to two schools.

MSCO deputies found Exantus at his residence at 14790 SW 43rd Terrace, and immediately arrested him. He is currently being held without bond at the Marion County Jail.
