OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Frank DeLuca recently retired, embarking on a new chapter alongside his wife, Angela. Both have been steadfast pillars in their community, dedicating their time, resources, and passion to making a meaningful difference in Ocala and Marion County.

“Angela and I were both Rotarians; we were in separate Rotary clubs, and we had met at a Rotarian function,” Frank shared. Their shared values of service and philanthropy have shaped their journey as active community leaders. Frank, a longtime supporter of the community, has championed numerous initiatives since becoming owner and president of DeLuca Toyota 46 years ago.

“After much consideration, I have decided, after an incredible 46 years as owner of DeLuca Toyota, to begin another chapter of my life in retirement!” Frank said. “Both Angela and I have been strong supporters of the community for many decades. We both have specific organizations that are important to us in different ways. However, children and philanthropy are some of the most important things to us.”

One of Frank’s most significant contributions was serving as Capital Campaign Chairman for the Marion County YMCA. “We had set a goal to raise $4 million for the new YMCA in Ocala. The capital campaign was so successful it exceeded its $4 million goal and raised almost seven million dollars.” This funding led to extensive renovations, including 14,000 square feet of new space, upgraded locker rooms, a lobby, cafe, and meeting rooms. Frank also made personal contributions totaling $2 million, leading to the facility being named the Frank DeLuca YMCA. In 2021, the YMCA expanded further with the Frank DeLuca Sportsplex, a premier outdoor sports venue.

As they transition into retirement, the DeLucas continue their mission of service. “We both found not only do we try to give of our resources but also share our time and talent and the love we have for our community,” Frank said. “We will try to make Ocala/Marion County a better place because of our philosophic efforts and concern for our community.”

Encouraging others to give back, Frank reflected on his journey from humble beginnings. “I started from humble beginnings in my business and built a legacy of hard work, community involvement, and generosity. These efforts have touched countless lives, from providing homes and meals to enhancing education, health, and cultural opportunities in Marion County.”

With a mantra that encapsulates their lifelong mission, Frank and Angela continue to inspire: “Giving back not only does it feel good… but it’s the right thing to do!”
