SUMTER COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A section of Richmond Dr., between Talleyridge Dr. and Oakville Pl., has been temporarily closed due to a depression caused by a stormwater pipe failure, according to Sumter County.
Officials are working to reopen the road by this afternoon, pending safety assessments.
“Public Works Construction Division will investigate the storm pipe for deficiencies and make the necessary repairs once the investigation is complete,” stated Michael Bryant, Assistant Sumter
County Public Works Director of Operations.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution in the area for their safety and that of the workers.
