MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE 4:50 p.m.: A check of the Florida 511 camera system shows the accident scene is mostly clear and traffic is flowing freely again on southbound I-75 in Marion County.
ORIGINAL: The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says you should expect delays on Interstate 75 southbound in Marion County.
Emergency crews are on the scene of an overturned tractor trailer near mile marker 356. Authorities say the semi and another vehicle crashed on the west shoulder approximately two miles south of County Road 326.
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews are also on the scene. They say the 18-wheeler had a load of hazardous materials, including barrels of antifreeze, motor oil, and diesel fuel.
As of 1:45 p.m., a check of the Florida 511 live traffic cameras showed a back-up for more than a mile. MCFR says traffic on I-75 southbound is moving but limited to one lane. You can check the cameras for a real-time update here.
