OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) is inviting you to a community wellness fair in Ocala next month.
DOH-Marion says they are holding a “Family Fun Wellness Fair” to promote health and wellness within the community during Minority Health Month.
They say the event is free and includes resources and activities for adults and children. It will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center. The address is 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.
It will feature free information and resources including health screenings, point-of-care ultrasound, addiction prevention and treatment, mental wellness, primary health care, health insurance, and career counseling that include vocational trades.
DOH-Marion says staff from family planning, healthy start, injury prevention, and STI programs will be present.
