OCALA, FL (352today.com) — Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews rescued a driver trapped inside a crashed pickup truck Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of SE 95th Street and SE 25th Avenue in Ocala.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:27 p.m. on July 22, when 911 callers reported a pickup had veered off the road and become wedged between several trees, trapping the driver.
Firefighters from Shady Station #16 arrived on scene by 1:36 p.m. and confirmed the driver was pinned inside the vehicle. Crews from Belleview Station #18 and Spruce Creek Station #30 also responded to assist.



MCFR paramedics stabilized the adult male driver while firefighters worked to extricate him. The rescue operation began at 1:38 p.m. and concluded at 1:53 p.m.
The driver was transported as a trauma alert by MCFR’s Critical Care Transport unit. His current condition has not been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
