OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Looking for a fun-filled family outing this weekend? The Longines League of Nations™ is taking center stage at the World Equestrian Center, bringing the excitement of Olympic-level show jumping to Ocala.
Competition for the week began on March 19, bringing top equestrians from around the globe to showcase their skills in one of the sport’s most prestigious events.
Last night, the $350,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix featured elite riders competing for top honors. Spectators, families, and fans attended the event, participating in activities on the World Equestrian Center’s Plaza during an evening of competition.


















“We [looked forward] to welcoming some of the Paris Olympics medalists here for that competition,” said Leah Tong, World Equestrian Center, director of brand and marketing.
Winners for the event were:
Third Place – Nina Mallevaey
Second Place – Cian O’Connor
First Place – Christian Kukuk
Today’s schedule features a single class at 3 p.m., with free admission and parking.
The competition will reach its peak on Saturday, March 22, with the Longines League of Nations ™ qualifier. The event starts at 4: 30 p.m., but it is suggested that you be in your seat by 3:45 p.m., to catch the Parade of Nations featuring 10 of the world’s best show jumping teams. General admission tickets are still available and will be available for walk-ups, and parking on March 22 is free.
