SUMMERFIELD, FL (352today.com) – A new traffic signal is being introduced at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Southeast 147th Street, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
The signal is currently operating in flash mode as drivers adjust to the new feature. U.S. 301 traffic will see a flashing yellow light, reminding drivers to use caution, while drivers on Southeast 147th Street must stop at a flashing red light.
Once fully activated in the coming weeks, the signal will switch to standard red, yellow, and green phases to help manage traffic and improve safety at the intersection.
FDOT expects the project to be completed by summer 2025, though timelines may shift depending on weather or other conditions.
