OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a construction update open house on Wednesday, Feb. 26, to discuss planned safety improvements along State Road 200 from east of Interstate 75 to Pine Avenue (U.S. 441/U.S. 301/U.S. 27).

The project aims to enhance safety by installing raised medians to manage conflicting turning movements. The open house will provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the project, view displays, and offer feedback.

The in-person event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ewers Century Center at the College of Central Florida, Room 107, in Ocala. Attendees can watch a looping presentation, review project materials, and speak with FDOT representatives.

For those unable to attend in person, FDOT is offering an online webinar at 5:30 p.m., where participants can view the presentation and submit questions. Registration is available at GoToWebinar.

Project materials will also be available on the FDOT website, CFLRoads.com, beginning Feb. 26. Public comments must be submitted by March 10 to be included in the official open house record.
