ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) –The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) have opened financial assistance to Alachua County residents and businesses who suffered losses during Hurricane Debby.
Praising the decisions of FEMA, SBA, and the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Jen Grice, Alachua County Emergency Management Director, expressed gratitude, acknowledging the recognition of the community’s unmet needs. “I encourage all our residents who have been impacted by Hurricane Debby to apply for this assistance,” she urges. “Additionally, thank you to the Alachua County residents and businesses who submitted their damages to our damage reporting portal. That information was a critical first step in getting this assistance for our community.”
The application process starts with a visit to FEMA’s disaster assistance page or a call to their multilingual hotline at 800-621-3362.
Likewise, affected businesses can tap into the resources found on the SBA page. Alachua County asks that you remember that the process is entirely managed and administered by the Federal Government. The Alachua County Government or local municipalities have no say in the approval, denial, or status update of your assistance application. All inquiries are dealt with directly by FEMA or the SBA.
