DIXIE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – FEMA has announced that individual assistance is now available for Dixie County residents affected by Hurricane Helene. This support is designed to help people and families recover from the storm’s impact and provide resources for rebuilding.
Residents who need assistance can call the State Assistance Information Line at 800-342-3557 for details on available help. When FEMA starts accepting applications, residents can apply for aid through DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362), or using the FEMA app.
FEMA is also providing a Flood Insurance Advocate service to help residents with flood claims. More details can be found on FEMA’s Flood Insurance Advocate page.
Additionally, residents can reach out to United Way’s 211 by calling 211 for various assistance options, including information on school closures, food programs, financial aid, and disaster relief.
The county is also offering “comfort stations” with laundry, showers, and restrooms.
