CITRUS COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – FEMA will open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Citrus County on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m. to assist residents affected by Hurricanes Debby, Helene, or Milton.

The center will be located at the West Citrus Community Center, 8940 W Veterans Drive in Homosassa, and will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Available Services at the DRC:
  • Assistance with FEMA application submissions
  • Updates on the status of FEMA applications
  • Help with understanding FEMA letters
  • Housing and rental assistance information
  • Information about Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs
  • Additional disaster recovery resources

Residents unable to visit the center in person can still receive help by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362), visiting disasterassistance.gov, or downloading the FEMA app. For those in need of transportation, Citrus County Transit is offering free door-to-door rides to the DRC. To schedule a ride, call 352.527.7630.

The DRC will provide critical support for those recovering from the hurricanes, making sure that they have access to the resources needed to rebuild and restore their lives.
