MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) — The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pickup truck and a sedan that occurred just before 7:30 a.m. on April 18 at the intersection of County Road (CR) 326 and NE Jacksonville Rd.

Troopers say a pickup truck heading west on CR 326 tried to turn left onto NE Jacksonville Rd. and collided with an oncoming sedan that was traveling east through the intersection.

The impact caused the pickup to hit the rear of the sedan, pushing it into a parked vehicle and causing heavy damage. They say that the driver of the sedan, a 55-year-old man from Archer, suffered minor injuries.

Following the collision, FHP says that the driver of the pickup fled south on NE Jacksonville Road without stopping to provide information or assist, as required by law.
