LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A fiery wreck in Levy County killed one and injured two others on Saturday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 19 (US-19) just north of Inglis.

Troopers say an SUV pulled out in front of a pickup truck headed northbound on US-19.

“The SUV became engulfed in flames after the collision,” said troopers in a news release.

Troopers say a 67-year-old man from Orange Park driving the SUV died and his 63-old male passenger from Jacksonville was seriously injured.

FHP says a 37-year-old Williston man driving the pickup truck was also seriously injured.

The two survivors were transported to the hospital for treatment.
