SUMMERFIELD, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded late Tuesday night to a structure fire in the 800 block of SE 145th Street in Summerfield. Dispatchers received the 911 call at 11:40 p.m., reporting flames engulfing both a structure and a vehicle.
Crews arrived on scene at 11:51 p.m. to find a single-story, wood-framed home about 50% involved in flames. Two nearby trailers were also on fire. Firefighters launched an immediate offensive attack, deploying hose lines to contain the blaze.









Rescue crews simultaneously conducted primary and secondary searches of the structure and performed vertical ventilation to improve visibility and reduce heat and smoke.
The fire was brought under control by 12:10 a.m. One civilian sustained a minor burn to the hand. No firefighter injuries were reported.
The cause and origin of the fire are currently under investigation.
