Firefighters put out early morning vehicle fire off 40 East

Marion County Fire Rescue crews had to cut into the car after extinguishing the flames.

MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded to a vehicle fire just before 1 a.m. Tuesday off East Highway 40 near Lynne.

According to officials, flames were coming from the vehicle when firefighters arrived. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and then had to cut into the car after the flames were out.

No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
